OUR COMPANY

The historical activity of our winery stems from a past that traces back to a century and a half ago, characterized by tenant farming with a background of rubber stamps and notary seals.

The vineyards, right at the center of the Contrada Bastonaca, heart of D.O.C.G Cerasuolo di Vittoria, are situated in the territory that stretches between Ippari and Dirillo, known as “Mesopotamium” since ancient times by the Romans and Greeks, and where excellent red wines were produced.

The commercial activity began much later, in 1982, with the appearance of the company both on the national and international market.

While Sicilian enology was just starting to take off, the Avide winery drew attention to itself thanks to its entrepreneurial skills, initiative and technical know-how consolidated by family tradition.
